Supreme Save the Date with Tie the

Supreme Save the Date: Bow Tie Heart / Designed by Lupa and Pepi for Tie the
Tie the Knot is an organization that sells limited edition bow ties with proceeds supporting organizations that fight for civil rights of gay and lesbian Americans. Founded by Jesse Tyler Ferguson (of Modern Family fame!) and his husband Justin Mikita, the organization advocates for "a more stylish and equal America". With the Supreme Court currently hearing arguments on marriage equality, Tie the Knot is launching a campaign called Supreme Save the Date to raise awareness and make a powerful statement. A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to be invited to take part!

Lupa & Pepi contributed save the date designs which are available for personalization on Supreme Save the Date's website! Couples can select a design and input their names, wedding date, and the state in which they live. They can even address their save the date to a Supreme Court justice! In turn, Tie the Knot will print and deliver all of the save the dates to the Supreme Court while they're making their decision — a powerful message that we're proud to be a part of!

Guess what? Great news! Paper versions of each of the save the dates we designed for the Supreme Save the Date campaign along with matching wedding suites are
available for a limited time in our shop for personalization and ordering! Place and order and a portion of the proceeds will go towards Tie the Knot! ***UPDATE: Although these limited edition invitation suites are no longer available in our online shop, we can accommodate special orders. Just email us at and let us know you'd like more info!***

The save the date at the top of this post entitled "Bow Tie Heart" was inspired by the motto upon which Tie the Knot is founded —"advocating for a more stylish and equal America". Other save the date layouts we designed are inspired by colors and symbolism associated with the cause. There are also two that are inspired by papergood suites in our very own shop — Geometrica and Petalo (see below)!

We were honored to be a part of this campaign. Hopefully very soon everyone will be able to say "I do"!

The Dream Team

Dream Team from Lupa & Pepi Wedding I snapped this photo during the final walkthrough of our wedding venue just a few weeks before Jason and I tied the knot. I'm so thrilled that I had the opportunity to work on my wedding with this talented group — a.k.a. my dream team! For the record, when I say "dream team" I mean that literally and figuratively — each of these people not only does phenomenal work that I love and respect, each was also just an absolute dream to work with! As Jason and I pieced together our vision for the Big Day, they lent their expertise and guidance, assembled the ingredients and then made it happen with grace, style and conviviality!

Now that you know the players and you've seen some pictures from the resulting wedding in the current issue of The Knot (still swooning about that!!!), I'm taking things wayyyyyyyyyyy back to the very beginning. In the coming months, I'm going to blog about all of the oooh's and ahhhh's of the planning and design process for our wedding — from engagement to "I do" and everything in between! Andiamo!

Not pictured but still very much a part of the Dream Team: Annie McElwain - Annie McElwain Photography, Max Cutrone & Molly Jenson - Max & Molly Films, Erica Buekelman & Katie Mueller - 10.11 Makeup, Keith Brunsmann & Jonathan Wolper - The Lighter Side

Molte Grazie!

Notecard Papergood Thank You Note Custom

As we unpack from our trips and settle back into our day-to-day life as a married (!!) couple, we have one last wedding-related item on our “to do” list — writing thank you notes. It can feel a little overwhelming when you have many to write at once but the Mr. and I have developed a bit of a strategy. So when Amanda of Love Creative asked me to write a guest post for her while she’s off getting hitched, I knew exactly what to write about! Check out my “thank you note” guest post to find out the particulars. (photo by Lupa & Pepi, left to right: custom notecard, Vintage Seed Packet forever stamps via USPSSensa pen)

Molte grazie, Amanda, for the opportunity to guest post! Felicitazioni!

Honeymoon, Here We Come!

Honeymoon Nicaragua Wedding Travel Vacation

Miami International Airport during our layover en route to Managua

Remember when my husband (still not used to saying that!!) and I went on our “minimoon” a few weeks ago? Well, now we are off to the real deal… our honeymoon! I’m still reeling from our big day and looking forward to my brother’s impending nuptials but can not wait to unplug, unwind and kick back in Nicaragua. We’re starting our trip on the beach on the Pacific coast and ending it at Lake Nicaragua. Arrivederci!
